Our newest release to date is undoubtedly our most refined. We've been thinking a lot about the types of taste experiences we chase as coffee professionals. Juicy, tartaric acidity, the elegance of floral aromatics, the refreshing crispness of citrus, the supple softness of stone fruit. Coffees that have an effervescence to their acidity yet are sweet and jammy. Beyond all, we love coffees that are dynamic and continue to evolve as they open and cool.
The spiritual successor to our classic blend The 9, the essence of this taste profile is to present an ever-shifting but beautiful expression of our favorite tastes that exist within the world of specialty coffee. We will always be on the lookout for incredible components that would be amazing on their own, but that could also pair with another individually unique seasonal component that together evoke a kaleidoscope of flavors, colors, and aromatics.
This first iteration of Nine Nouveau features two coffees: Finca Platanillo, a Natural from Alta Verapaz, Coban, Guatemala; and Yirg Z, a Washed and "Zero Defect" selection from Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia. Finca Platanillo is also known as Pura Fruta, aptly named as it's one of the most fruit-forward coffees we've ever tasted. All of the prominent and revered types of fruit / acidity are present here. With Yirg Z, it is a bouquet of jasmine with honeyed sweetness and lemon hard candy. It helps take the aromatic potential of this cup to another level. All together we couldn't be more excited to share this with you. Expect this in your cup over at Ten in Marina del Rey very soon.

All online orders are roasted to order and added to our next roast date. We roast Mondays and Wednesdays, orders placed by 8AM on roast days will be roasted that day, otherwise the coffee will be roasted on our next roast date.
