101 - Palate Development - 7/18/17

This is Part 1 of a 4 part series we call B9U. Our goal is after this series you'll be able to be well on your way to coffee mastery, whether you're just starting out or have years of experience in the industry. Note: Classes may be purchased and taken out of order.

 

Part 1 of our B9U series is on Palate Development, what we think is the foundation and most important part in your development in coffee. In this intensive 2 hour class, you'll learn everything from

-The Basics of Cupping Coffee

-Understanding the differences and how to taste Acidity, Sweetness, and Body

-Exploring the different tastes of coffee processing

-Tasting for defects and identifying quakers

-Tasting for under and over development of the roast

-Tasting for under and over extraction in the cup

-Learning to assess dry fragrance and wet aromatics

-Begin to taste the differences between different coffee varieties 

 

This class is led by Chuck Herrera and will be held on July 18 from 6PM to 8PM.
