In an uncertain time, we decided to take this moment to create a blend that is built to provide comfort and support for our community. Founder and Director of Coffee Zayde Naquib and Lead Roaster Jack Balder took extra care in crafting this blend to be a taste that's worth craving while we all experience this unprecedented moment. Additionally, we are pricing this higher than normal, with the express goal of supporting Bar Nine staff members still working while we go through this transition. Supporting each other is how we are going to make it through all this.
The base of this blend was brought to us by our friends at Keffa, an incredible importer that specializes in the finest Ethiopian coffees on the market. They provided the base to this blend, Ardi, a renowned coffee in the specialty market. This is the natural fermentation version of this coffee and bursts with strawberry, delightful florals, and an oh-so-juicy finish. The accent is a rich and chocolate-forward washed Nicaraguan coffee, that brings structure and balance. This was roasted more gently than our other coffees, with a little more development to create a structured taste that is hard to forget. Our notes:
